Yes— I accept several insurance plans through Clinical and Developmental Services, an organization I contract with for billing and administrative support. Plans I accept include:
Aetna · BlueCross/Blue Shield · Cigna · HealthPartners · Medica · Medicaid (Minnesota Health Care Plans) · PreferredOne · PrimeWest · Select Care · South Country Health Alliance · Tricare · UCare · United Healthcare
Note: Insurance can be complicated. Accepting your plan doesn't guarantee what your out-of-pocket costs will be— deductibles, copays, and coinsurance vary. I highly recommend calling your insurance company before your first appointment to ask about your specific mental health benefits.
-
Yes! Absolutely. I offer a free, 15-minute consultation via phone or video to answer questions you may have or help determine if I’m the right fit.
-
I’m available for both in-person and telehealth sessions. My in-office days are Tuesdays and Thursdays and my telehealth days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I can meet via telehealth with folks located anywhere within the state of Minnesota.

For those not utilizing insurance and who don’t qualify for the sliding scale, my private pay rate is $150 for a 55-minute session.
-
Yes— I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients experiencing financial hardship. Please reach out to discuss— I'm happy to talk through options.

I require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged a $100 fee— with two exceptions: if we're able to reschedule within the following two weeks (pending availability), the fee is waived. Clients also get one “freebie” per calendar year, no questions asked— life happens.
Here's the honest reason this policy exists: Unlike at many larger clinics, I'm not salaried. When a session doesn't happen, I can't bill insurance, which only reimburses sessions that actually take place. Without notice there's also no way to offer the session time to someone else who might need it. I'll always make every effort to reschedule (I’d much rather have a session than charge a fee)— but at the end of the day, I'm a one-person practice, and I've gotta keep my lights on.
